Responsibilities
Selected candidates may be assigned to one of several Level 1 Group D roles. Typical responsibilities (role-dependent) may include:
- Supporting track and civil maintenance activities to ensure safe railway operations.
- Assisting in bridge, permanent way (P-Way), and related infrastructure upkeep.
- Providing support in electrical operations, traction distribution (TRD), and workshop functions.
- Assisting in signal & telecommunication (S&T) support activities as assigned.
- Supporting coach & wagon (C&W) maintenance activities.
- Performing duties in loco sheds (diesel/electrical) as per operational requirements.
- Following safety procedures, departmental instructions, and shift/roster requirements.

Requirements
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 33 years
- Age relaxation: As per RRB Group D recruitment rules
Educational Qualification
- Matriculation (Class 10th / High School) from a recognized board, and
- ITI certificate in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT approved institution OR NAC certification
Physical Eligibility (PET Standards)
Male:
- Lift and carry 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes (one chance) without putting the weight down
- Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds (one chance)
Female:
- Lift and carry 20 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes (one chance) without putting the weight down
- Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds (one chance)
