Responsibilities
- Participate in on-the-job training as per the apprenticeship curriculum and departmental schedule.
- Assist senior technicians and supervisors in day-to-day workshop/field activities related to the assigned trade.
- Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tools, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and adherence to training milestones, logbooks, and assessments.
- Comply with railway safety rules, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and site safety instructions.
- Support basic troubleshooting, inspection, repair, or fabrication tasks under supervision (as applicable to the trade).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and assist in material/tool handling as assigned.

- Basic understanding of technical concepts related to the chosen trade; willingness to learn and work in a practical environment.
