Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary by role. Typical responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering safe, patient-centered care and maintaining clinical documentation (Nursing Officer).
  • Supporting hospital administration, correspondence, noting & drafting, records management, and office coordination (Administrative roles).
  • Performing stenography, transcription, and typing tasks with required speed and accuracy (Stenographer).
  • Managing inventory, materials, and store operations; maintaining stock registers and ensuring compliance (Store Keeper).
  • Executing technical and biomedical support activities as per departmental requirements (Technical Officer/Technologist roles).
  • Supporting OT/CSSD operations, sterilization workflows, and theatre assistance (OT Assistant/CSSD Assistant).
  • Assisting in patient welfare and social work services in coordination with clinical teams (Medical Social Service Officer).
  • Providing general support services, patient movement assistance, and ward/hospital attendant duties (Hospital Attendant Grade-II).

Requirements

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 35 to 38 years (post-wise)
  • Age relaxation as per SGPGI recruitment rules.

Educational Qualification (Post-wise Eligibility)

  • Nursing Officer: B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) with 02 years experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital; must be registered as Nurse & Midwife in State/Indian Nursing Council.
  • Senior Administrative Assistant: Graduate with knowledge of noting & drafting; computer knowledge; typing speed (English 30 wpm or Hindi 25 wpm); 01 year experience.
  • Stenographer: Any Bachelor’s Degree; shorthand speed 80 wpm; computer knowledge.
  • CSSD Assistant: 12th (Science) with Diploma in CSSD.
  • Draftsman: 10th passed with 02 years ITI in Civil Draughtsmanship.
  • Hospital Attendant Grade-II: 10th class passed.
  • Junior Accounts Officer: B.Com (55% marks) with Accountancy; 02 years accounts experience; computer knowledge.
  • Technical Officer (CWS Biomedical): B.E./B.Tech in Electronics / Glass Technology / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist: B.Sc. in Life Science/other Science with 01 year Diploma in Medical Radiation and Isotope Techniques (DMRIT) or equivalent approved by AERB.
  • Store Keeper: PG Degree/Diploma in Material Management from a recognized university/institution; computer knowledge.
  • Medical Social Service Officer (Gr-II): Master’s Degree in Social Work with relevant experience in welfare/health agency work.
  • O.T. Assistant: B.Sc. (Anesthesia / Operation Theatre Technologist).
