Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is inviting online applications for the post of Constable (GD) for deployment across various Central Armed Police Forces and allied organizations, including BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF, NCB, SSF and Assam Rifles. This recruitment drive is for a total of 25,487 positions.

Position Overview

As an SSC GD Constable, you will support operational and administrative duties as assigned by the respective force/organization. The post requires adherence to service rules, physical readiness, and the ability to work in challenging environments, including field postings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties related to internal security, public safety, and protection of critical assets as assigned by the unit/command.
  • Maintain discipline, follow lawful orders, and comply with organizational policies and operational protocols.
  • Participate in patrol, guard, access control, and other security-related tasks depending on posting.
  • Support crowd management, emergency response, and incident handling as per force guidelines.
  • Maintain physical fitness standards and participate in training/drills.
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, and coordination during operations and routine duties.

Requirements

  • Education: Must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Age limit (as on 01 January 2026): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 23 years (age relaxation as per SSC rules).
  • Willingness to undergo and qualify prescribed selection stages, including written exam and physical tests.
  • Ability to work in shifts, remote locations, and under demanding conditions based on force requirements.
  • Must meet medical standards during the medical examination stage.

  • PET & PST (Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test)

Correction charges: First time INR 200; second time INR 500.
