Position Overview
As an SSC GD Constable, you will support operational and administrative duties as assigned by the respective force/organization. The post requires adherence to service rules, physical readiness, and the ability to work in challenging environments, including field postings.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties related to internal security, public safety, and protection of critical assets as assigned by the unit/command.
- Maintain discipline, follow lawful orders, and comply with organizational policies and operational protocols.
- Participate in patrol, guard, access control, and other security-related tasks depending on posting.
- Support crowd management, emergency response, and incident handling as per force guidelines.
- Maintain physical fitness standards and participate in training/drills.
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and coordination during operations and routine duties.
Requirements
- Education: Must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Age limit (as on 01 January 2026): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 23 years (age relaxation as per SSC rules).
- Willingness to undergo and qualify prescribed selection stages, including written exam and physical tests.
- Ability to work in shifts, remote locations, and under demanding conditions based on force requirements.
- Must meet medical standards during the medical examination stage.
