Position: Junior Engineer (Various Trades)

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineers across multiple engineering trades to support planning, execution, inspection, and documentation of engineering works. This role is well-suited for early-career engineers who want hands-on exposure to public infrastructure, quality control, and project coordination in a structured environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and execution of engineering projects across assigned trade (e.g., Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or other relevant disciplines).
  • Support site supervision activities, including measurement, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications.
  • Help prepare estimates, basic designs, schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve routine technical issues.
  • Maintain records such as measurement books, site logs, material test reports, and work completion documents.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety practices, quality standards, and departmental procedures.
  • Assist with inspections, testing, and verification of materials and workmanship.
  • Contribute to reporting on project status, risks, and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in the relevant engineering discipline (trade-specific).
  • Foundational understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and standard construction/maintenance practices.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control procedures and safety norms at worksites.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain clear technical documentation and records.
  • Proficiency with common office tools (spreadsheets, documents) and willingness to learn department systems.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work in field conditions as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or prior experience in site supervision, estimation, or maintenance works.
  • Familiarity with standard codes/practices relevant to the trade (as applicable).
  • Basic exposure to CAD tools or measurement/estimation software.
