Position: SSC Stenographer Grade C & D

We are seeking detail-oriented, highly organized Stenographers (Grade C & D) to support administrative and official documentation needs in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. This role requires strong shorthand and typing proficiency, excellent written English, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Take accurate dictation in shorthand and transcribe into typed documents within defined timelines.
  • Prepare, format, and proofread official correspondence, reports, notes, and meeting minutes.
  • Manage document flow, indexing, filing, and retrieval (physical and digital) to ensure record integrity.
  • Support scheduling, meeting coordination, and communication between departments and stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to applicable rules and procedures.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as data entry, drafting letters, and maintaining office logs.
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure timely completion of documentation and approvals.

Requirements

  • Education: Completed Class 12 (or equivalent) from a recognized board.
  • Age: Minimum 18 years; maximum age as per applicable rules for Grade C/Grade D (relaxation for reserved categories as per government norms).
  • Shorthand and typing proficiency suitable for stenography roles; ability to produce error-free documents.
  • Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and professional formatting.
  • Working knowledge of computers and common office software (word processing, email, document management).
  • High attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to work under deadlines.
  • Integrity and professionalism when handling confidential records.
