We are seeking a detail-oriented Stenographer to provide high-quality stenography and typing support in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Responsibilities
- Take accurate dictation in Hindi using stenography and produce error-free transcripts within required timelines.
- Perform Hindi typing work, including drafting letters, notices, reports, minutes, and other official documents.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Organize and manage files, registers, and documentation to ensure records are complete and accessible.
- Assist officers/teams with scheduling, correspondence, and routine administrative support as required.
- Proofread documents for accuracy, formatting, and consistency before submission or dispatch.
- Support coordination for meetings, including preparing agendas, taking notes, and circulating action items.
- Use standard office software and digital systems to store, retrieve, and manage documents.
Requirements
- Education: 12th pass from a recognized board.
- Stenography: Hindi stenography speed of 80 WPM.
- Typing: Hindi typing speed of 25 WPM.
- Computer Proficiency: Must have passed the NIELIT CCC examination (or equivalent as applicable).
- Assessment/Qualification: Valid UPSSSC PET 2022 score card (where applicable to the hiring process).
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in transcription and typing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Professional communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in government, legal, administrative, or institutional stenography roles.
- Familiarity with office procedures, document control, and record management practices.
- Comfort working with digital workflows, scanning, and document management systems.
