Responsibilities

  • Perform English shorthand dictation and prepare accurate transcriptions within prescribed time limits.
  • Prepare, format, and proofread official documents using word processing and spreadsheet tools.
  • Maintain confidentiality of court records and administrative communications.
  • Support clerical and administrative tasks as assigned by the court/office.
  • Assist in document management, filing, and record upkeep in accordance with office procedures.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in operation of computer, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • School Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation examination with Hindi or English as one of the subjects.
  • Age Limit (as on 01 July 2024):
    • Minimum: 18 years
    • Maximum: 42 years
    • Age relaxation: As per rules

Selection Process

  • Shorthand & Transcription Test: 80 wpm in English shorthand and 20 wpm transcription on computer.
  • Computer Proficiency Test
