Position: Sub Station Attendant

Organization: Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) / Government of NCT of Delhi (as per notified department/establishment)

Overview: DSSSB invites eligible candidates for the post of Sub Station Attendant. The role supports day-to-day operations and upkeep of electrical sub-station facilities and associated equipment, ensuring safe, reliable functioning under applicable procedures and safety norms. Selection is typically through a written examination, followed by skill test/document verification and final merit listing as per DSSSB rules.

Responsibilities

Assist in routine operation and monitoring of sub-station equipment (as applicable to the posting), including switches, panels, and related electrical systems.
Support maintenance activities such as basic checks, housekeeping, and reporting abnormalities in equipment performance.
Follow established safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and departmental instructions while working in sub-station environments.
Maintain logs/records as directed (e.g., readings, routine checklists, incident reporting) and coordinate with supervisors/technical staff.
Assist during inspections, preventive maintenance schedules, and restoration activities under supervision.
Comply with rules related to discipline, attendance, and conduct applicable to government service.

Requirements

Education: 10th pass (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognized board.
Technical Qualification: ITI certificate in relevant trades such as Electrician, Wireman, or other applicable electrical trades.
Age Limit (reference): Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years (age relaxation as per DSSSB/Government rules and category norms).
Basic understanding of electrical safety practices and willingness to work in operational/field environments.
Ability to follow instructions, maintain records, and work as part of a technical team.
