Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary by allocated service/post and may include:

  • Implementing state policies, rules, and administrative procedures in assigned jurisdiction/department.
  • Managing public service delivery, grievance redressal, and inter-department coordination.
  • Supervising field operations, inspections, compliance actions, and reporting.
  • Preparing and reviewing official notes, orders, case files, and statutory documentation.
  • Budgeting, treasury operations, audit coordination, and financial controls (for finance/audit roles).
  • Revenue administration, taxation assessment, enforcement, and dispute handling (for revenue/tax roles).
  • Municipal administration, civic services monitoring, and local body governance (for municipal roles).
  • Program execution for education, social welfare, probation, and community development initiatives.
  • Public communication, information dissemination, content/editorial work (for information/editorial roles).
  • Sectoral planning and technical/analytical support in agriculture, horticulture, tourism, and statistics as applicable.
  • Maintaining integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to service conduct rules.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university/institution (as per recruitment rules).
  • Age: 21 to 42 years (as on 01 July 2025). Age relaxation as per applicable UKPSC rules.
  • Selection Process: Prelims Written Exam, Mains Written Exam, Personal Interview, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
  • Core Competencies: Strong analytical ability, sound judgment, communication skills, and administrative aptitude.
  • Work Ethic: High integrity, public service orientation, and ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.
