This role supports public health diagnostics and program implementation across UP NHM facilities and national health programs. Selected candidates will contribute to accurate testing, documentation, quality processes, and coordinated service delivery in accordance with applicable rules, protocols, and program guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory investigations as per assigned program area (e.g., community processes, NCD, NTEP, blood cell/blood bank services) and follow established SOPs.
- Collect, label, process, and store specimens following biosafety and infection control guidelines.
- Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment; ensure calibration/quality checks as required.
- Maintain accurate test records, registers, and reports; ensure timely submission of data to supervisors/program teams.
- Support internal quality control and external quality assurance activities (especially for Senior LT roles such as EQA/IRL/C&DST).
- Coordinate with clinicians, program staff, and facility teams to ensure continuity of diagnostic services.
- For supervisory roles (e.g., STS/STLS): support field coordination, monitoring, reporting, logistics, and program compliance, including documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure compliance with applicable UP NHM rules and program guidelines.
Requirements
Educational qualifications vary by post. Typical eligibility includes one or more of the following (as applicable to the specific post):
- Blood Cell (Blood Bank/BCTV/BSU) Lab Technician: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) with required experience.
- Community Process Lab Technician: 10+2 (Intermediate) with Diploma/Certificate in MLT and registration in UP State Medical Faculty.
- NCD (NPPCF) Lab Technician: 10+2 (Intermediate) with Degree in MLT and registration in UP State Medical Faculty.
- NCD (NPCDCS) Lab Technician: 10+2 (Intermediate) with Degree/Diploma in MLT, registration in Central/State Medical Faculty, and required experience.
- NTEP Lab Technician / LT IRL/C&DST / LT + CBNAAT LT: 10+2 (Intermediate) with Diploma/Certificate in MLT, registration in UP State Medical Faculty, and required experience.
- NTEP Senior LT (EQA/IRL/C&DST): M.Sc (Medical/Applied/General Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry) with/without DMLT OR B.Sc (Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Life Science) with/without DMLT; registration in UP State Medical Faculty; required experience.
- NUHM Lab Technician (UCHC/UPHC): Certified Diploma in Laboratory Services with registration in UP State Medical Faculty.
- NTEP Senior Treatment Supervisor (STS): Bachelor’s Degree with Sanitary Inspector course, 2-month computer certificate, and valid driving license.
- NTEP STLS: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in MLT with 2-month computer certificate, two-wheeler driving license, and registration in UP State Medical Faculty.
Additional requirements:
- Ability to work in a public health environment with strong attention to accuracy, documentation, and compliance.
- Willingness to work in assigned districts/facilities within Uttar Pradesh as per program needs.
