UP Police Computer Operator

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Computer Operator. This role supports police operations through accurate data entry, computer-based documentation, and administrative technology support. Responsibilities

  • Perform high-accuracy data entry and update records in designated systems and databases.
  • Prepare, format, and maintain official documents, reports, and correspondence using standard office applications.
  • Support day-to-day computer operations including file management, printing, scanning, and digital record upkeep.
  • Execute typing tasks in Hindi and English as per required speed and accuracy standards.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and relevant departments for timely submission of assigned work.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow department policies related to information security and record handling.
  • Assist during examinations/selection-related activities as required by the department.

Requirements

  • Education: 12th pass with Physics or Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized board in India.
  • Computer Qualification: ‘O’ Level course or Diploma in Computer Engineering / IT / Electronics Engineering.
  • Typing Skill: English typing 30 WPM and Hindi typing 25 WPM.
  • Age Limit (as per notification reference): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 28 years (age relaxation as per UP Police/UPPRPB rules).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under timelines.
  • Basic proficiency in common office software and computer operations.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain discipline, and work effectively within a government/departmental framework.
