Short Role Summary
As a UP Police Constable, you will support public safety operations through patrol, law enforcement assistance, crowd management, and security duties, while meeting prescribed physical and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety in assigned areas.
- Perform patrolling, surveillance, and basic incident response duties as directed.
- Support crowd control and public event security operations.
- Assist senior officers in routine policing tasks, documentation, and reporting.
- Participate in training, drills, and fitness/efficiency requirements as per departmental norms.
- Carry out duties for specialized units/assignments (e.g., PAC/Armed Police, Civil Police, SSF, Jail Warder, Mounted) based on posting.
Eligibility & Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Must have passed Class 12 (Intermediate) from any recognized board in India.

- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age (Male): 22 years
- Maximum Age (Female): 25 years

Physical Standard Test (PST)
Male Candidates
- UR / OBC / SC: Height 168 cm; Chest 79–84 cm
- ST: Height 160 cm; Chest 77–82 cm
Female Candidates
- UR / OBC / SC: Height 152 cm; Minimum Weight 40 kg
- ST: Height 147 cm; Minimum Weight 40 kg
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Male: 4.8 km in 25 minutes
- Female: 2.4 km in 14 minutes
