Responsibilities
- Perform role-specific administrative, clerical, confidential communication, and/or accounts support functions within UP Police units.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data entry in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Support internal coordination, reporting, and office workflow to ensure timely processing of official tasks.
- For Confidential/Clerk roles: execute typing/stenography tasks as required by operational needs.
- For Accounts role: assist with accounts-related documentation and record maintenance as per applicable rules.
- Participate in the recruitment selection stages including examinations and verification processes as notified.
Requirements
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025): 21 to 28 years (age relaxation as per UPPRPB/UP Police rules).
Educational Qualification (Post-wise):
- Sub Inspector (Confidential): Graduation (or equivalent) from a recognized university in India; Hindi typing 25 WPM; English typing 35 WPM; Hindi stenography 80 WPM; O Level exam passed.
- Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerk): Graduation (or equivalent) from a recognized university in India; Hindi typing 25 WPM; English typing 35 WPM; Hindi stenography 80 WPM; O Level exam passed.
- Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts): B.Com from a recognized university in India; Hindi typing 15 WPM; O Level exam passed.
Physical Standards (PST)
Male Candidates:
- UR/OBC/SC: Height 163 cm; Chest 77–82 cm
- ST: Height 156 cm; Chest 75–80 cm
Female Candidates:
- UR/OBC/SC: Height 150 cm; Minimum weight 40 kg
- ST: Height 145 cm; Minimum weight 40 kg
