Responsibilities
- Maintain law and order within the assigned jurisdiction and respond to incidents promptly.
- Conduct preliminary inquiries and investigations; collect evidence and prepare case documentation.
- Supervise and coordinate field personnel during patrols, crowd control, and special operations.
- Prepare reports, diaries, and official correspondence as required by departmental procedures.
- Coordinate with other units and stakeholders for intelligence gathering and operational planning.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures, departmental rules, and ethical standards.
- Support community policing, public grievance redressal, and awareness initiatives.
Requirements
- Education: Graduation (Bachelor’s) degree from a recognized university/institution in India or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
- Document Upload Requirement: Graduation mark sheet upload is mandatory. If the degree certificate is unavailable, upload a provisional degree; if that is also unavailable, upload mark sheets as applicable. Original documents must be produced during verification/PST.
- Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025): Minimum 21 years; Maximum 28 years (age relaxation as per UP Police/UPPRPB rules).
Preference Qualifications (Not Mandatory)
- “O” Level Computer Examination by NIELIT (DOEACC) or equivalent recognized certification.
- Minimum two years of service in the Territorial Army.
- NCC “B” Certificate.
