UPAVP Junior Engineer / Assistant Engineer

Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad (UPAVP) invites applications for the position of Junior Engineer (JE) / Assistant Engineer (AE). This role supports public housing and infrastructure development initiatives across Uttar Pradesh through engineering planning, execution, quality control, and coordination with internal teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design review, estimation, and execution of civil/electrical/mechanical works (as applicable to the post/discipline).
• Prepare and verify technical documents including drawings, measurements, BOQ, and specifications.
• Supervise site activities to ensure adherence to approved plans, safety standards, and timelines.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve on-site issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
• Conduct quality checks, material inspections, and maintain test/inspection records.
• Maintain measurement books (MB), progress reports, and work completion documentation.
• Support tendering and procurement processes by providing technical inputs and evaluating compliance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable government norms, departmental guidelines, and project documentation requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant engineering qualification (Diploma or Degree in Engineering) aligned with the JE/AE discipline as prescribed in the official notification.
• Knowledge of construction practices, site supervision, and basic project documentation.
• Familiarity with estimation, measurement, and standard specifications (e.g., departmental/CPWD/IS standards as applicable).
• Working knowledge of computer applications used for engineering documentation (e.g., spreadsheets, drafting tools) is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage field-level execution.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
