Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Engineer (AE) – Civil. This role supports the planning, execution, and maintenance of civil engineering works across UPPCL facilities and infrastructure, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and execute civil engineering works related to power infrastructure (buildings, foundations, roads, drains, water supply, and related utilities).
- Prepare and review estimates, BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Monitor site progress, quality control, measurements, and billing; verify contractor claims and maintain measurement books/records.
- Ensure adherence to safety practices, statutory requirements, and relevant codes/standards (e.g., CPWD/IS codes where applicable).
- Support maintenance and repair activities for civil assets; conduct inspections and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for audits and reviews.
- Assist in handling queries related to answer keys, exam updates, and recruitment-related notifications as per organizational processes (as applicable to the recruitment lifecycle).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
- Knowledge of civil construction practices, QA/QC, estimation, and contract management.
- Familiarity with relevant standards/codes and basic project management principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to AutoCAD and/or civil design tools is preferred.
- Good communication skills for coordination with site teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in field/site conditions and travel to project locations as required.
