Role Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Candidate Support Specialist to help applicants and candidates navigate key milestones of the UPSC Civil Services (IAS) and Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination cycle. This role focuses on providing accurate guidance on schedules, admit cards, results, interview timelines, document readiness, and portal-based actions, while ensuring all information is verified against the official UPSC website.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with time-sensitive updates, and experienced in interpreting official notifications and communicating them clearly to a broad audience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor official UPSC updates related to Civil Services (IAS) and Indian Forest Service (IFS) examinations, including interview schedules, admit cards, results, and notices.
- Assist candidates in locating and understanding interview schedules (e.g., roll number-wise listings), reporting times, and board details as published in official PDFs.
- Provide step-by-step guidance for checking and downloading official documents (admit cards, interview schedules, results) from the UPSC portal.
- Maintain an internal calendar of critical dates (notification, application window, correction window, prelims, mains, IFS mains, interviews) and communicate changes promptly.
- Answer candidate queries related to eligibility basics (e.g., degree requirements for IAS vs. IFS) and general process flow (Prelims, Mains, Interview), while directing candidates to official notifications for final verification.
- Support candidates with document readiness checklists for interview day, based on official instructions.
- Ensure all shared links and references point to authoritative sources (UPSC official website) and meet accuracy and compliance standards.
- Draft clear FAQs and help-center content to reduce repetitive queries and improve candidate experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (required).
- 1+ years of experience in customer support, admissions/exam support, operations, or content coordination (preferred).
- Strong ability to read and interpret official notifications, schedules, and PDFs with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain multi-step processes in simple language.
- Comfortable working with deadlines and time-sensitive updates during peak exam periods.
- Proficiency with web navigation and common office tools (spreadsheets, document editors) and basic link verification.
- High integrity and commitment to accuracy; able to distinguish between unofficial summaries and official sources.
