This role is a uniformed law-enforcement position within Uttarakhand Police. Selected candidates will support public safety operations, intelligence duties, unit leadership within PAC/IRB, and/or fire services responsibilities (as per allotted post). Responsibilities
- Maintain law and order, support crime prevention, and assist in investigation-related duties as assigned.
- Conduct patrolling, crowd management, and public safety operations in accordance with departmental SOPs.
- Prepare reports, maintain official records, and ensure timely submission of operational documentation.
- Coordinate with senior officers and other units for operations, intelligence inputs, and emergency response.
- For Intelligence SI: collect, analyze, and report intelligence under prescribed protocols.
- For PAC/IRB Gulmanayak: assist in unit leadership, discipline, training coordination, and deployment readiness.
- For SI Fire II Officer: support fire prevention, emergency response, rescue operations, and safety compliance activities.
- Uphold integrity, confidentiality, and professional conduct as a public servant.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university.
- Age Limit (as on 01/July/2021): 21 to 28 years (upper-age relaxation as per rules).
- Domicile/Eligibility: As per the notice, only candidates from Uttarakhand are eligible.
- Physical Standards (PST):
- Height (Male): 167.70 cm (Gen/OBC/SC), 160 cm (ST)
- Height (Female): 152 cm (Gen/OBC/SC), 147 cm (ST)
- Chest (Male): 78.8–83.8 cm (Gen/OBC/SC), 76.5–81.5 cm (ST)
- Weight (Female): Minimum 45 kg
- Physical Efficiency/Qualifying Tests (PET):
- Male: Cricket ball throw 50 m; Long jump 13 ft; Chinning up 5 times; Run 5 km in 30 min; Dand 40 in 2 min 30 sec; Baithak 50 in 60 sec
- Female: Cricket ball throw 20 m; Long jump 8 ft; Skipping 60 times in 1 min; Run 200 m in 40 sec; Shuttle race 25×4 m in 29 sec
- Must meet medical fitness standards as prescribed by the department.
