Overview: We are seeking an experienced and academically strong Vice Principal to support the leadership and administration of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The role focuses on strengthening training quality, ensuring compliance with applicable norms, leading faculty and staff, and improving student outcomes through industry-aligned vocational education.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overall academic and administrative management of the ITI, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Support the Principal in implementing institutional policies, training standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Oversee planning and delivery of technical/vocational curriculum, including timetable design and instructional monitoring.
- Supervise faculty performance, mentorship, and professional development initiatives.
- Ensure laboratories, workshops, and training equipment are maintained, safe, and utilized effectively.
- Coordinate examinations, assessments, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Strengthen industry engagement for apprenticeships, on-the-job training, guest lectures, and placement support.
- Monitor student attendance, discipline, and welfare; implement initiatives to improve retention and performance.
- Prepare and maintain institutional reports, compliance records, and audit-ready documentation.
- Support admission processes, counseling, and outreach activities to enhance enrollment and awareness.
- Participate in committees, inspections, and institutional reviews as required by relevant authorities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and ethical conduct across the institute.
Requirements
- Education: Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (B.Tech./B.E./B.Sc. Engg./B.S.) from a recognized university/college.
- Experience: Prior experience in technical education, training administration, workshop/lab management, or academic leadership is preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with vocational training systems, institutional administration, examination processes, and quality/compliance practices.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Technology: Comfortable with digital tools for reporting, record management, and official communication.
