The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), a premier engineering institution in India, has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a sponsored research project. This is a temporary contractual engagement for a duration of up to 12 months.

Position and Vacancy

One post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is available for candidates with a strong academic background in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or allied disciplines.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000. No additional allowances or perquisites will be provided since the position is purely temporary.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess an ME/M.Tech/MS degree in the relevant engineering field from a recognized university. The project focuses on water resources and environmental aspects; thus preference may be given to those with prior research experience in fieldwork, surveys, data analysis, and project management.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on shortlisting of applications and subsequent interview. Candidates will be evaluated on their academic record, research experience, and suitability for the project. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for the interview.
