The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Geologist. This is a prestigious opportunity for candidates with a background in Geology to work under the state government. The total number of vacancies is 02.

Eligibility Criteria:Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized university. Alternatively, a Diploma from the Indian School of Mines & Applied Geology, Dhanbad in Applied Geology is also considered valid. The age limit for General category applicants is 21 to 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per UPPSC norms for reserved categories.

Salary:The selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay scale of Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month, along with other allowances as per state government rules.

Application Process:Interested candidates need to complete a One Time Registration (OTR) on the official UPPSC website to obtain an OTR number. After that, they can fill the online application form, upload required documents, and pay the application fee if applicable. The last step involves sending a printed copy of the application along with self-attested documents via speed post to the address mentioned in the notification. The hard copy must reach before 04 August 2025 by 5:00 PM.

Selection Procedure:The selection will be based on a written examination and an interview. Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly for both stages.
