UPSC has introduced One Time Registration (OTR) for candidates to streamline the application process for various exams like NDA, CDS, Civil Services, etc. Register once and save time.
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has introduced the One Time Registration (OTR) facility for candidates who wish to apply for various UPSC examinations. With OTR, candidates can fill their basic details once, and these details will be automatically populated in future application forms, saving 70% of time. The process started on 18th August 2022 and is ongoing with no last date.

- Mandatory for all UPSC exams including NDA, CDS, Civil Services, CMS, Engineering Services, ISS, IES, Forest Services, etc.
- Free of cost for all categories.
- No age limit for registration.
- One-time registration with lifelong validity.
- Candidates can update some details later.

How to Register
Follow the steps below to complete your UPSC OTR registration:
- Visit upsconline.nic.in or use the direct link provided in the important links section.
- Click on 'New Registration' tab.
- Enter your basic information: Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, and Class 10 Roll Number.
- Submit the registration form and verify your details.
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered email and mobile number.
- Your OTR ID will be displayed on successful registration. Take a printout/screenshot.
- Login using your mobile number/email/OTR ID and OTP to set a password.
- Your OTR is now complete. You can apply for any UPSC exam using your OTR ID.
