The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 5063 vacancies across various ministries and departments of the Government of India. The posts include Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Postal Assistant, and other clerical positions.
Important Dates
Application start date is 1 July 2026 and the last date to apply is 31 July 2026. A correction window will be available from 1 August 2026 to 7 August 2026. The Computer Based Examination (CBT) is scheduled for 15 September 2026 onwards.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Senior Secondary) examination from a recognized board. The age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 1 January 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms: OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), PwBD (10 years), etc.
Application Fee
General, OBC, and EWS category candidates are required to pay Rs. 100 as application fee. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempted from fee payment. Payment can be made online through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
