Selection Process
- 1.) Preliminary Examination (Online) - 100 marks, 1 hour, comprises Reasoning, English, Quantitative Aptitude.
- 2.) Mains Examination (Online) - 200 marks, 3 hours, includes Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, English, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Awareness.
- 3.) Interview - 100 marks (scaled to 80 marks after normalization) and document verification.
- 4.) Final selection based on aggregate of Mains (80+20 from Prelims?) Actually integral: Prelims qualifying, Mains + Interview.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) for the year 2026. Selection Process
- Preliminary Examination:An online objective test of 100 marks (1 hour) covering English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. Qualifying nature, marks not counted in final merit.
- Mains Examination:An online objective test of 200 marks (3 hours) with sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General Awareness, English, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. There is also a descriptive test of 25 marks (English letter/essay).
- Interview:Candidates shortlisted based on Mains score will be called for Interview, carrying 100 marks (scaled to 80 marks for final score). Document verification is done alongside.
- Final Merit:Based on combined scores of Mains (85%) and Interview (15%) after normalization.
