The National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NIT Rourkela) has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a sponsored research project. This is a temporary contractual engagement for a duration of 1 year 7 months, co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a B.E/B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ceramic Technology, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Science, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a closely related field. Additionally, the candidate must possess a valid GATE score or have qualified the NET examination.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation for reserved categories will be provided as per government of India norms.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on an online interview. Candidates may be shortlisted for the interview based on their academic qualifications, GATE/NET scores, and relevant experience. The interview will be conducted on 29 July 2025.
