Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has invited applications for a 6-month internship program at its Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (VRDE) in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. This internship is open to engineering students who are currently in the final stages of their undergraduate or postgraduate degrees.

Overview

The DRDO VRDE Internship 2025 offers a stipend of Rs 5000 per month to selected candidates. There are a total of 11 internship positions available across various engineering disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile, Power, Power Electronics, and Production.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be pursuing a full-time B.E/B.Tech degree and be in the 7th or 8th semester, or be enrolled in the 1st or 2nd year of an M.Tech program at a recognized Indian university or institute. The maximum age limit is 28 years.

Important Dates

The last date for submission of applications is 26 August 2025. Candidates are advised to apply well in advance to avoid last-minute delays.

Application Process

Interested candidates must send a brief bio-data (less than 300 words) along with supporting documents via speed post to the Director of VRDE, Ahmednagar. Additionally, a soft copy of the application must be emailed to KapilPuraswani.vrde@gov.in.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on shortlisting of applications considering academic merit and relevance of the candidate's discipline. An interview may be conducted if deemed necessary by the selection committee.

Stipend and Duration

Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5000. The internship duration is fixed at six months, and a completion certificate will be awarded upon successful fulfillment of the program.
