Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Project Scientist-1. This is a temporary position under a research project. Candidates with a strong background in biotechnology, plant breeding, genetics, fruit science, or vegetable sciences are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a B.Sc or B.Sc(Hons) degree in a relevant discipline along with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Fruit Science, Vegetable Sciences, or an equivalent field. Candidates who possess a Ph.D. without a Master's degree but have the required specialization at the Ph.D. level are also eligible.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for General category candidates is 32 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved categories.

Application Fee

A non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 is to be paid online to the Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the evaluation of qualifications and experience, followed by an interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.

Eligible candidates must fill the prescribed application form available on the official PAU website. The completed form along with self-attested copies of all certificates and the fee payment receipt should be submitted to the concerned department before the deadline.
