IIT ISM Dhanbad Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2025

The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, has announced a vacancy for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates holding an M.Sc degree with a valid GATE or CSIR-UGC NET score to work on cutting-edge geoscience research involving geological and geophysical modelling, field surveys, and AI/ML applications.

• Fellowship Amount:Rs. 42,000 per month
• Project Tenure:Maximum three years or till the end of the project

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:M.Sc in a relevant discipline (Applied Geology, Geoinformatics, Geophysics, etc.) with GATE or CSIR-UGC NET qualification.
• Desirable Experience:Experience in geological and geophysical modelling, field surveys, and AI/ML applications in geoscience will be given preference.
• Integrated M.Sc/M.Tech students are also eligible to apply.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic merit, GATE/NET scores, and relevant experience. Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview. The final selection will be made based on overall performance.
