National Law University Meghalaya (NLUM) has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Research Associate on a short-term contract basis. The university seeks qualified candidates with a postgraduate degree in relevant disciplines to contribute to ongoing research projects.

Overview of the Recruitment

This is a dedicated research position aimed at supporting the academic and research activities of the university. The selected candidate will be engaged for an initial period of 89 days, from December 2025 to February 2026. A monthly stipend of Rs. 47,000 will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting research in assigned areas of law and social sciences.
• Assisting in the preparation of research papers, reports, and case studies.
• Coordinating with faculty and external experts for fieldwork and data collection.
• Performing any other academic and administrative duties as assigned.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree (MA or MSW) from a recognized university. Additionally, strong proficiency in spoken and written Sumi language is mandatory to effectively fulfill the communication needs of the position. Prior research experience (minimum 2 years) is preferred.
