Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Ranchi has released the notification for Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2024. This exam is conducted for candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (Class I to V) and junior (Class VI to VIII) levels in schools of Jharkhand.

Eligibility Criteria

Primary Level (Paper I)

• 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/B.T.C.)
• 10+2 with 45% marks and D.El.Ed as per NCTE norms
• 10+2 with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed
• 10+2 with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Special Education
• Graduate with 2-year D.El.Ed

Junior Level (Paper II)

• Graduate with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed
• Graduate with 50% marks and B.Ed (Regular)
• Graduate with 45% marks and B.Ed as per NCTE
• 10+2 with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed
• 10+2 with 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
• Graduate with 50% marks and B.Ed (Special Education)

How to Apply

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official JAC TET portal. Follow the steps:

1. Visit the official website and click on 'Apply Online'.
2. Register with basic details and obtain login credentials.
3. Fill the application form with personal, educational, and contact details.
4. Upload scanned photograph and signature (as per specifications).
5. Pay the application fee using online modes.
6. Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
