Pondicherry University, a central university located in Puducherry, has invited applications for the position of Guest Faculty in the Department of Economics. This is a temporary engagement for the academic session. Eligible candidates can attend a walk-in interview scheduled for 12 December 2025.

The university seeks dedicated individuals with strong academic backgrounds in Economics to deliver lectures and guide students. The engagement is purely temporary with an honorarium of Rs. 1500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000 per month. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess a PG degree in Economics with at least 55% marks and must have cleared JRF/NET/SET or hold a Ph.D. in Economics as per UGC norms. Experience in teaching at the university level is desirable but not mandatory.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting of applications based on qualifications and experience.
2. Walk-in interview conducted online via Google Meet. Candidates must be prepared to deliver a 10-minute teaching demonstration on any Economics topic.
