The Indian Institute of Technology Dhanbad (IIT Dhanbad) – formerly Indian School of Mines (ISM) – has invited applications for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a research project in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Overview of the Recruitment

IIT Dhanbad JRF recruitment 2026 is a temporary position funded by a specific research project. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Devendra (Principal Investigator) at the Department of Electronics Engineering. The fellowship amount is competitive, ranging from ₹37,000 to ₹42,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a B.E/B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Electronics Engineering. Candidates with a GATE/NET score will be preferred. The maximum age limit is 35 years as on the closing date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved categories.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of two stages: shortlisting and interview. The shortlisting will be based on academic merit, GATE/NET score, and relevant research experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, which will be conducted via video conferencing or in person at IIT Dhanbad. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
