The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Medical Education under the ISRO-RESPOND project. This is a temporary position initially for one year, extendable up to the project completion based on performance.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:
- B.Sc./B.Sc.(Hons) or M.Sc. in Physics with CSIR-NET/JRF/JAM or GATE qualification, OR
- B.E./B.Tech in a relevant field with GATE or a National-level examination conducted by Central Government departments/agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MeitY, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IITs, IISc, or IISERs.
Age limit is 35 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation applies as per government norms.
Salary
The selected candidate will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000.
Selection Process
Eligible applications will be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience. Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email and called for an online interview scheduled on 23 January 2026. No travel allowance will be provided.
