Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Civil Engineering. This is a research fellowship position under a project funded by the institute. The selected candidate will work on structural engineering related research and receive a monthly fellowship of ₹37,000.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidate must possess ME/M.Tech/MS in Structural Engineering or a relevant discipline from a recognized university. Additionally, candidates with B.Tech from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTI) with CGPA above 8 are exempted from GATE. For others, a valid GATE score is required.

Salary

₹37,000 per month (consolidated) as per DST norms.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting of applications based on qualifications, research experience, and GATE score.
2. Interview of shortlisted candidates (via online or offline mode as decided).
3. Final selection based on interview performance.
