Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has released a recruitment notification for the position of Assistant Professor (General Surgery) in the Faculty of Dentistry. This recruitment aims to fill one vacancy for an Assistant Professor specializing in General Surgery. The selected candidate will be engaged on a temporary basis to handle academic responsibilities in the Faculty of Dentistry. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:Candidates must hold an MS (Master of Surgery) degree in General Surgery or an equivalent qualification recognized by the university. Preference may be given to candidates with higher qualifications or relevant teaching experience.

Age Limit:The age limit is as per the norms of the university. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for details.

Application Fee

The application fee is ₹500 for General category candidates. The fee should be paid online, and the payment proof must be attached with the application form. Other category candidates may be exempted as per government rules.

Selection Process

1. Applications will be screened and shortlisted based on the qualification and experience criteria set by the university.
2. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The university may constitute a Selection Committee or forgo the committee as per its discretion.

4. Submit the application in a sealed envelope to the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, on or before 22 December 2025.
5. Applicants applying for multiple posts must submit separate applications for each.
