Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released the notification for Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online from 21 April to 21 May 2026. This exam is for teachers of Primary (Class 1-5) and Junior (Class 6-8) levels.

Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) is conducted by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) to determine eligibility for teaching positions in primary (Class 1-5) and junior (Class 6-8) levels in schools of Jharkhand.
Candidates with required educational qualifications as per the notification can apply. For Primary level: 10+2 with 50% marks and D.El.Ed. For Junior level: Bachelor degree with 50% and B.Ed. or equivalent.
For Paper I or II only: General/BC/EWS Rs. 1300, SC/ST Rs. 700. For both papers: General/BC/EWS Rs. 1500, SC/ST Rs. 800.
JHTET consists of Paper I for Primary level (5 subjects) and Paper II for Junior level (4 subjects). Both are computer-based tests with multiple-choice questions.
Exam date is not yet announced. It will be scheduled after the application process. Admit card will be released before the exam.
