Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has invited applications for the post of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry. The recruitment is for three specializations: Orthodontics, Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, and Oral Medicine & Radiology. A total of 3 vacancies are available.

Interested candidates must possess a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree in the relevant specialty from a recognized university. The engagement is purely temporary for a period of up to 180 days and does not carry any claim for permanent appointment. Shortlisting will be based on qualifications and experience, followed by an interview.

The application fee is ₹500 for General category candidates. No fee exemption has been specified for other categories. Candidates are required to submit separate applications for each post if applying for more than one specialization.

Important Dates

The last date for receipt of applications is22 December 2025. Applications must reach the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

Selection Process

The selection will involve screening of applications based on the prescribed eligibility criteria. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The University reserves the right to constitute or dispense with a Selection Committee as per requirements.
