Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invited online applications for the recruitment of Stenographer Grade C and Grade D in 2016. The notification was released on 7 May 2016 and the last date to apply was 3 June 2016. The written examination was conducted on 31 July 2016. Candidates who qualified were called for the skill test held from 3 to 11 May 2017. The final result and revised result were declared in January 2018. Candidate must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board. For Stenographer Grade C, typing speed 40 wpm in English or 55 wpm in Hindi; for Grade D, 50 wpm in English or 65 wpm in Hindi.
Age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 1 August 2016. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years.
The written exam was conducted on 31 July 2016.
The final result was declared on 15 January 2018, with a revised result on 19 January 2018.
Skill test admit cards are available region-wise on the SSC official website. Links were active in 2018 for CR Region and other regions.
