ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR) has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for a research project. The fellowship offers a consolidated salary of Rs. 42,000 per month and is based in New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold an M.Sc degree in disciplines such as Agriculture, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Seed Science and Technology, or a closely related field. Additionally, applicants who have qualified through the basic science route must have cleared NET, GATE, or any equivalent national-level examination conducted by agencies like DST, DBT, ICAR, ICMR, DRDO, IISc, IIT, IISER, or NISER. The upper age limit is 35 years as of the last date of application.

The application should be a single combined PDF containing the filled bio-data along with a recent photograph and self-attested copies of all certificates and mark sheets. The subject line of the email should clearly mention the post applied for. The last date for receipt of applications is22 December 2025. Candidates currently employed in any organization must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer.

Selection Process

The selection will involve screening of applications, followed by shortlisting of eligible candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a virtual interview. Final selection will be based on the candidate's performance in the interview and verification of original documents.
