Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) has invited applications for the contractual engagement of one General Duty Doctor. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified medical professionals to serve at a major port in Goa. The appointment will be on a contract basis, and candidates must meet the eligibility criteria as specified in the official notification.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university and be registered with the Medical Council of India or the State Medical Council. Additionally, at least one year of experience as a medical practitioner is required. The maximum age limit is 35 years as of the last date of application.

Application Process

Interested candidates must submit their application in the prescribed format. The application should be accompanied by self-attested copies of all relevant certificates, including SSC, HSSC, degree mark sheets and certificates, Medical Council registration, experience certificate, and birth certificate. Two recent color passport-size photographs must be affixed to the application, with one pasted on the top right corner. The envelope must be clearly superscribed with“Application for contractual engagement as General Duty Doctor (on contract)”. Completed applications must reach the Office of the Secretary, General Administration Department, Mormugao Port Authority, “SAARASI”, 3rd Floor, Administrative Office Building, Headland Sada, Goa – 403 804 on or before 17th February 2026.

Selection Procedure

The selection will be based on a written examination and/or interview, depending on the number of applications received. If both are conducted, the written exam will carry 85% weightage and the interview 15%. In case only an interview is held, eligible candidates will be called for an oral interview on a later date. Mere fulfillment of the eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection.

Salary and Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a fixed monthly salary of Rs. 75,000. No other allowances or benefits are mentioned as this is a contractual engagement.
